I grew hibiscus for tea in my own garden and it is delicious! When we first set out to sell hibiscus tea at Verity, we went to great lengths to find organic hibiscus farmers in South Africa. We eventually found a farmer in KZN and it has been a joy sharing that hibiscus tea with our Verity customers.

I subsequently decided to source seeds last winter so I could grow hibiscus in my home garden for my personal consumption. This has been so much fun and today, I am proud to share that I successfully grew my own hibiscus tea in Johannesburg. Who knew it was possible?
